Ruler of the Realm By: Herbie Brennan

This is my first book review. I would rate Ruler of the Realm a five because it has a lot of action, yet things calm down enough near the very, very end for some romance. The young fairy queen Holly Blue is caught between trusting her evil uncle Hairstreak in an alliance between the Fairies of the Light and the Fairies of the Night, or letting the realm fall into the hands of the demons. She really needs the help of her mortal friend Henry, but he's at home thinking he could be crazy because of stress between his mother and father's divorce. He tries to forget everything, but when he's walking home from his friend's house, he turns around and gets pulled into a mysterious blue light coming from a spacecraft like a U.F.O. Mr. Foggarty transports Henry into the Realm, and learns that, not only was Henry implanted, so was Blue. The demons want to take over the realm by having Blue be able to do whatever they command, but it falls apart when Henry tries to rescue her and gets badly injured by the demons. She sees this and cuts the demon's head off, rescues Henry, finds out they both are madly in love with each other (which burnt the indestructible implant in her), and her uncle abdicates from fighting. It was a perfect ending to a perfect book. I would read it if I were you!
